Was hoping to get some help on this. I picked up a 2001 denali console and lower dash. Want to install it in my 02 tahoe. Install is a no brainer. The problem I am having is with the wiring as far as hooking up the DIC and 6 disk changer. Along with everything else. I'm sure someone has done this on here. Thanks for the help.

For this one, you need to splice into the Vehicle Speed Signal behind the instrument cluster and a data wire under the dash. Pretty easy to wire up.

You basically just have to match the 9 wires up from the plug coming out of the back of the CD changer to the plug on the back of the radio. If you have a tape player now in your original console, you can just use that. It is wired in the same way.

Thanks for the quick reply. You have a beautiful truck by the way. I have the harness for the cd changer and the dic. Is there a way that I can just use the connections that are there or do I need to get more of the wiring from the truck I got the console from? I was really hoping it was going to just be more of a plug and play install. Thanks!

Thank you! You should be able to use your existing harness for your tape player or you can use the one from the Denali console. I believe the connector is the same on the cd changer. It definitely won't be plug and play with the console wiring though. The Denali console had a totally different harness going to it. You may have to do some splicing to get all the lights and power outlets working properly. It is not a hard task though. Most of the stuff to get the DIC working you can splice in at the behind the radio.

Yes the connector for the tape player is the same as the cd player. What I was thinking is that if I could take the wiring from under the dash from the denali that connects to the console and use it somehow. To try to simplify the process somehow. I understand what you are saying about being able to make it work.I was just trying to do it as if the factory would have done this. Thanks for the help!
