Greetings all,

I once again find myself posting here for some help with my 2001 Tahoe.

The first thing is...I have some front end issues. I just had the truck inspected and was told that everything in the front end looked good. However I have a problem that has been getting worse. I have already replaced both front wheel hubs as they were shot, but I suspect the issue is something else.

If I hit bumps while going straight, no problem. If I hit bumps on a corner, I get a crazy amount of feedback. The steering wheel shakes, steering feels unstable, the brake pedal pounds back and forth and it continues this until I slow down. Once I slow down it stops. The worst is hitting a good bump on a long corner. It gets so bad that I almost feel like I am going to lose control. It gets bad at speeds of 65-70ish and is hardly noticeable at slow speeds of 55 or below. This also happens on somewhat smooth roads on curves as well. Any ideas?

The other issue I have is an AC system leak. The garage I have been working with has charged it and injected dye twice. So far the condensor, compressor, and all the hard lines check out. The AC works great once it's been charged but a week or two down the road and the AC stops working. I know I have a leak, but I cannot tell where it is. They think it may be the rear AC evaporator. Has anyone had to replace their rear AC evap core? I know it's behind some trim panels in the rear on the passenger side, but how do you get to it? Can I at least inspect it and look for dye without having to disconnect the AC lines, or do the lines need to be removed before I can even look at the unit?

Thanks all in advance.

The steering wobble def sounds like worn out steering linkage/ends.

For the ac issue, has the truck ever been in an accident?

Never been in an accident since I have owned it, and the autocheck/carfax did not show an accident but that does not mean its never been in one i suppose.

I will have the steering looked at by a local garage, and hope they can find the source.
