2001 tahoe mode actuator

i am hav ing trouble replacing the mode actuator in my 2001 tahoe.

i got the old one out, one of the gears was broken.

i dont know how to put the new one in.?

this duct in the attached picture is making it very difficult to see what i am doing and i dont know how to remove it.

i dont know what to set the switch to before i install the new actuator, or how to align the gears when istalling it.

any help is greatly appreciated.

There I no easy way all I can say is align the door with the actuator do not move the actuator as it messes it up some how . hope this helps
