Im sorry for jacking your thread but how do you like your whipple charger? I'm thinking about doing one on my 2001 denali. Any pros and cons would be greatly appriciated.

P.S. might want to check for carbon build up. Even with a new egr valve carbon may be your enemy.

If your solenoid code is clearing, it's more than likely going to not clear soon. If you aren't familiar with a solenoid valve, it's basically a shuttle valve. Sometimes they stick due to wear and tear over time. It's cheap enough and easy enough to replace. Your local autoparts store should have one. I'm actually getting ready to change mine because my code is finally not clearing.

yea actually today the light went off for about ten miles then came back on. while it was off i wasnt giving much gas just cruising and when i was gettin on it more it came back on. im gonna run stock tune maybe see if it goes away. otherwise i fabricated a block off plate and see if i can block it off and solve the problem .

whats a wipple supercharger like yours cost and say for example upgrading my 4.8 with a wipple what are some componants that need to be upgraded before hand on a stock motor im going to assume slapping a supercharger on a 4.8 with 140k miles on it probably isnt wise

Things can go boom, and your wallet will have money flying out of it and it wont stop anytime soon. in a stock tune tune, when the boost comes up the engine needs extra fuel to mix with all of the extra air, and the stock tune can't do that. You can end up with holes in pistons and other melted stuff.

I think you should just take the SC off, and we can trade, my intake for your SC. I will even do the work:gr_grin:
