So, I had a problem with the left front speaker going out intermittently. Replaced factory amp, no fix. Replaced factory head unit with aftermarket (and did connect the pink wire) and now the rear door speakers don't work and the left front is still hit or miss. The "D" pillar tweeters work, and I'm not sure about the sub. I'm at wits end and just considering a 5 channel amp to fun the doors and sub...any other ideas?

My front left speaker had a short. Try wiring in a different speaker temporarily (you could take the right out to test)

You probably need to bypass the middle controls. If you pry the control panel out you will see a wiring harness with two black wires, four brown wires, and two blue wires. You have to connect them together to bypass that control panel. Black to black, brown to brown, brown to brown, and blue to blue. Make sure you connect them using just a simple jumper wire so you don't have to cut them off the harness. It will make your life a lot easier if something gets mixed up. (Since there are four brown wires it can get confusing)

Hope that helps!

I actually said screw it and installed a 5 channel amp and ran all new speaker wires. It took me a day and a half, but it's super clean and damn near invisible. I do still have the "D" column speakers and the small front door speakers running off of the factory amp and Kenwoods in all for doors and a Pioneer shallow mount 8" DVC sub in the factory box running off the new amp. Really pleased with the setup.
