I am having an issue verifying my fuel tank size. Everywhere I look, it says I should have a 26 gallon tank when if I let it run down and fill it up I can only fill about 18 or 19 gallons in the tank. I can't find any information about it having a smaller tank size? I do get around the correct MPG that is listed the vehicle gets which is around (14-16 MPG). Does anyone experience this with theirs? I can't find anything on the part number on my fuel tank neither. The two different numbers on my fuel tank are: 1430432 and 15759656. I also have even put my VIN into a decoder and it says I should have a 26 gallon tank.

I'm pretty sure that you have a 26 gallon tank. You may have around 4+ gallons in reserve once the needle shows on Empty.
Can you completely fill the tank with the needle at Full? Older Tahoes/Yukons can have an issue with not being able to completely fill. The combination of these two can give the results you are getting.

I am pretty sure that I don't have an issue with the filling like you described. Once I have it filled completely to where the pump will click off, the fuel gauge will stay at full for around 100 miles or so and then from there it you can notice it start to go down normally. Not really the issue there but still just doesn't make sense to me. I have never drove it low enough for the fuel light to come on but like a line from empty and even from there it will only take like 18 gallons. Hmm.
