Been reading and reading all the different threads on this site, very informative to the point i am getting a little too confused because of all the different choices people have used and tried.
I am the original owner of my 02 Yukon SLT with the premium auto leveling option. Glove box shows ZW7 and G69. She has 165000 on the clock. She is mechanically sound. The ride is starting to get harsh over bumps lately, especially the front passenger side. I would like to replace the front shocks with factory replacements. Is this the correct shock listed on Amazon? https://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-540-...1&refRID=B5SMN176K3ZFHTYEAN20#customerReviews
My Yukon has towed a open car trailer to the race track and also a boat on some occasions during its life time. I believe the rear shocks are still fine since i recently tow my 21ft boat for some distance. Do most people change all 4 shocks at the same time? Also, While looking under the truck, i noticed that the cone shaped bump stops are falling apart too so i will be replacing those too. Are there any other parts i should swap out during the install?I don't want to compromise the auto leveling by swapping out to other types of setup since she has towed so well in the past. I know the Bilstein swap is popular but that would involve swapping the springs out which can change the way the truck rides while towing.
thanks for the input
