2003 Bose Sub

I recently acquired a 2003 Chevy Tahoe z71 with the Bose system and was wondering if it’s possible to replace the stock sub. I know it’s located underneath the center console and was wondering if it’s practical to use the stock location or use aftermarket solutions.
