Pulling a 5000# TT camper (cargo included), assuming I want to fix this system. Or do I replace with something else?

Just from a cost and warranty standpoint I would go with the aftermarket units. I am drawing a blank on the mfg at the moment. I am sure someone will chime in.

+1.

Bought the package off of ebay and installed myself......compressor was a slight PITA but managed to get it done. I pull a few trailers and a fishing boat...it is nice to have the autoride.

I have a 2004 denali where the auto ride isnt pumping anymore, I used to hear it pumping up but it hasnt lately. Would you recommend to changing the compressor and shocks or just the compressor? I could replace the compressor and see how that works out and if the is anything else I could do the shocks. Thanks in advance. Also How hard is it to change out with only a floor jack and stands???

You could try a new pump but if you go that route I'd make sure your rear shocks are not leaking causing the pump to run more frequently. My pump(when my shocks were bad) was running every 20 mins. After I replaced it along with new shocks--it runs on startup and thats it-unless I load up the back or hook up a trailer. I replaced mine with just a floorjack and some stands. Search 'Arnott' in the suspension section(s) and you will find many threads with pics/how to's....

Mine system is dead also but I'm going to go with air bags and a good quality adjustable shock, I tow a larger TT and it will be nice to hit the in cab switch and pump the system up to the psi I want to run. It should also ride as nice as the coils or maybe even a bit better. This will also put the load on the air ride system and not some light weight air shock. And I will be able to adjust the shock for loaded and empty driving.

before mine went out it used to run when I started it up and that was the only time i heard it run. Somdays it ran at at a stop light for 10 seconds or so but t hat was about itso I think my shocks are OK or else I would have hear it run more often. But it was only during start up i hear it run. so I need to check the fuse and relay and then I can test my compressor.
