I am in the process of replacing the ac parts above. It has front digital heater control and rear digital heater control.
Prior to the start of my engine rebuild the Ac compressor was making a whining noise. Shop said it was ok and not detrimental the running it at the time. Anyways with the engine removed and on the stand it is easiest to replace the ac components now.
I removed the Ac compressor, orifice tube, and drier. The orifice tube was stuck inside the line. Trick i found was use the stuck orifice tube with a strip out drill bits. I am going to replace the seals under the engine bay and the seals at the condenser.
The seals placed between the fittings look like a paper coated metal underneath washer. I am assuming that no oil/grease is placed between the hose and fittings?
Appreciate the input.
