Need help I need to purchase a used transmission.Can someone please confirm that the only year trans. That will fit in a 2003 Tahoe is one from a 2003. Will any other years work.. Thanks in advance.

Imo get it rebuilt. Buying used is a big risk I tried once and it popped fairly quick.. if you got friends in the industry then get them to do it on the side and will be paying fairly cheap. My boy is gonna get his 4l60 done for about 500 on the side

That sounds about right. Rebuilt would last longer..

IIRC 03+ are what you're looking for. FWIW the 4L60 is not a hard trans to rebuild if you're handy. It can be done with mostly common hand tools, and really the specialty tools can either be substituted, or purchased inexpensively.
