Hello everyone. We own a 2003 GMC Yukon SLT with about 180k miles. It still runs great but it was involved in a front end collision which bent the front bumper and caused both front air bags to deploy. I replaced the front impact sensors and have removed both airbags and have purchased replacements but have not installed them because I am still receiving many error codes. The codes are B0013 b0014 b0017 b0018 b0026 b0043 b0044 b0051. Thank you everyone in advance for your help.

If the airbags aren't installed then of course you're going to have many airbag error codes. I would install them and then see if you still have codes. Those all look to be codes related to open airbag circuits or similar.

I don't want to install them until I am certain that they won't deploy when I connect the battery.

It's not my intention to sound mean, but step away from the car and take it to a qualified mechanic who knows what they're doing. Not backyard shoe shmoe. Based on the questions you're asking it seems you're fairly new to this -- which is fine. However I would suggest learning on something that isn't an airbag system. You don't want to mess that up. If it goes off at the wrong time you incur some fairly significant personal injury. Same thing should you be involved in an accident and they don't go off. It's a major safety piece of the car and I'd urge you to not take this particular part of the process into your own hands.
