Hey all, new to the forum, not real sure where to post this, so here goes.
Have a 2003 Yukon XL Denali. My 15a (I believe, it's blue I know, not in front of me righ tnow) fuse is constantly blowing that controls my backlighting on my gauge panel at night. My buddy printed off the map and I know that fuse is a control circuit or something, so lots of things are controlled with it. Bad thing is, when I lose my backlighting, I don't notice anything else bad happening. Any ideas?

Parking lights issue

I have a 2003 Yukon Denali, and I looked outside the other night and saw my parking lights staying on. There's a fuse under the hood that's a 15a I believe, something about trlr lights or something like that. I pulled it, lights went off, but doesn't fix the problem. Plus, when I went to start the truck later, it was dead. Any ideas?

I see both of my posts were grouped here. I do have two different issues at this time. And I don't know why someone would ask about FI cleaner on this post. Anyways, any help would be great.

When does the fuse blow? Instantly with the truck off, only with the key in the accessory mode, truck on, lights on or off?

Have you tried looking under the dash to the wiring around the steering column to see if something has gotten snagged or cut and is grounding out?

As for the FI cleaner, very very valid for this conversation! ahhaha

That's a good question. The fuse blows at all kinds of different times. Sometimes it'll be a day or two into use, sometimes it'll be an hr or two, ya never know. Kinda sounds like it could be a bare wire rubbing. I have looked and not seen a thing; looks like it's all contained pretty well in tape and whatnot. I have a feeling it's another problem somewhere else, but could be real interesting finding it.
I'd much rather find the cause of the parking lights staying on. That's a real head scratcher, especially since they'd been fine for months, then all the sudden a problem.
