He started working for us in an apprenticeship type position when he was still in high school. He bought a used altima and paid it off super quick. Sold that and wanted to buy a new ss camaro (this is back in 2019). I said shit, for that money, I'd pick up a used zl1. We looked for a bout a month and I found him a 2017 with 4k miles. He bought it. He's had it a little over 2 years.

Here's a pic I took of it when he first got it. He now has exposed carbon heat extractor and the gm carbon fiber wing...

edit. He’s some cell pics

Camaro guy and 15 year old are two different kids

I like that plate! The white on the ZL1 looks badass too! I need to get a car they are so easy to make quick.

Still waiting on an alignment next Saturday, last night I pressure washed the underside and engine bay so the guy has a clean slate to work on. Plus I'm interested in getting under it while it's in the air, I still have an odd clunk when going from forward to reverse while turning it seems. I can't tell if it's manual trans-related or not but I think it's suspension or steering-related. Doesn't happen all the time but when it does it's pretty noticeable from inside the truck. Hopefully when it's on the lift I can inspect some stuff better but I don't know what could possibly require replacing at this point.

He's had it over two years and still has a driver's license. Had it over two years and hasn't crashed or rolled it. Well a few 130 mph speeding tickets will end that run.

ZL1! Cheese and rice that's way too much car for a 21y/o! I bet he loves it tho. I remember being so excited to get my license and drive my $350 POS truck around. I think I've only used an uber twice and it was in other states to go get a Turo rental so I didn't have to rely on other people.
When I was 15 I was driving my mom's car around the neighborhood after I would wash it in the driveway. I came back from a five minute drive to see here standing inside the front door as I drove up the driveway. Because of that I had to wait till summer school to take my driver's ed while everyone else was already driving.

My mom always had decent trucks, she never let me drive them and I didn't dare try.
