Hey guys,

Just joined the forums today. About to buy a 2004 Yukon with 130k for $4500.00. Owner states the only thing is rear air spring light is on. Am I able to switch it to Tahoe springs and shocks to get rid of the headache of the air suspension?

Also,

What are these trucks known for? I know the trannys can be problematic but it seems they run forever so any input would be appreciated!

I'm also new to the forums today and recently bought a 2005 Yukon XL Denali and think for the price and miles you state you're getting a good deal. Can't really help on your original question thought sorry.

This topic is covered here often. In short it is very easy to remove the air based system and use standard springs and shocks. On my 03 I am using a beltech 2" lowering kit with Bilstein 5100 shocks and removed the fuse for the air system so there are no error messages on the dash. Works great
