2005 z71 Tahoe steering wheel controls

I tried search but couldn’t find a thread on my specific issue. I bought an 05 Z71 w Bose. It had an aftermarket double din unit when I bought it. I replaced it with a CarPlay enabled head unit. The shop that did it added an axxess swc module but can’t get it to program. First issue was no input from the car side, my lower swc’s worked but not the upper. I bought new ones and installed, they now light up. I don’t think it’s the clock spring Bc the lower controls work and the horn does too. The shop tried 3 different modules and still can’t get it to program. Radio works perfectly, just can’t get swc to work. Any suggestions? The shop contacted metra I believe and are waiting for a call back. Thanks!

I wouldn't rule out the clockspring, since individual wires could be broken. You could pull one at a UPull and give that a try to see if that's it, or try to ohm through the one you have.
