My Chevrolet Silverado 1500z714.8ltr 4l60 automatic transmission with 7inch lift started with front differential making a poping noise when in 4wheel drive and u could only shift by starting in first and working ur way to drive but once u were in drive as long as u didn't completely stop it would shift by itself but once u stopped u had to go back to first or 2 nd to go again well started running hot and somehow blew transmission fluid all over motor on caught fire right at the starter well I had to replace the starter and then it would not go out of first gear after the fire so my computer said replace shift solenoid control modules so I replaced 1 and 2 well they were completely melted so now my computer is saying tcm speed sensor low voltage and truck only moves in first at like 3500 rpm and only go to 2nd gear sometimes and then starts running hot

ouch..

this is mostly the Tahoes and not the trucks, don't know how much different they are.

guys around here hate reading things without punctuation, it's like once you learn all that nonsense your brain can't comprehend reading without it. it's all very weird. I've watched very smart people not be able to make heads or tails out of badly translated instructions but the people that can bearly read or write have on problems.

as for the tranny, I'm no tranny guy, but I'd say you got 2 issues. a broken tranny and a burnt up/damage wiring harnesses. being a 4L60 probably best to just grab a cheap used one to throw in as they are a pretty good tranny when taken care of and not worked hard. being you're raised, I'd say yours is worked hard. it going to have a rough/short life.

good luck with it. from the sounds of it, it might be time to bite the bullet and get it to a good tranny shop.
