I was looking around on the inner webs and have found where it says that the L92 does not have AFM(DOD) but does have VVT. But have seen other sources say that there is no VVT either. It was my understanding that VVT didnt hit the 6.2L engine until 2009 when the AFM also was added to the Escalade and the Denali.

And no I have not taken a close look at the timing cover just yet to se if there is a bump to house the cam phaser just yet. Stupid work is getting in the way.

The L92 had a first and second design.
The first design, built prior to April 1, 2006 contained AFM components, but were left disconnected from the ECM.
The second design eliminated the AFM components altogether.

I imagine a easy way to tell is if the valley cover is smooth or has ridges/passages. My 07 L92 VLOM is smooth.

L92s do have VVT
