2007 Tahoe LTZ No start condition
Friday my wife started the Tahoe and 10 seconds later it quit. When she tried to restart nothing, starter does not engage or turn over. I figured it was the battery as it will be 5 years old in November so I tried a 12 volt power pack then put the charger on it still nothing. Battery shows fully charged but will not even try to turn over. Tried both remote start FOB’s and nothing they won’t even lock or unlock the doors. DIC is showing check suspension, stabilatrack off, check 4 wheel drive etc. Replaced the battery with an H6-DLG (new) and still nothing and the same error messages. I have checked fuses and circuit breakers in all 3 locations and all are good. A lot of things are not working, sunroof, rear liftgate and rear glass, rear power windows, fog lights, high beams, brake lights and adjustable pedals. What is working are low beams, rear seats still fold, both front power windows, nav and radio. I noticed in the DIC that it no longer shows an option to relearn either the remotes or the TPMS, both gone. Does anyone know what functions are controlled with the BCM? Does it sound like it needs a reflash? Any thoughts on what to check? The truck will be 5 years old in November with 39000 mi. and this is the first problem we have had. Rented a scan tool and no error codes but I think the Acutron 9175 will only check the engine codes.
Thanks in advance for any ideas.

ECM/ECU???

I doubt it's the BCM because various body controlled components still work. Because it's the engine, etc I'd be looking at the ECM/ECU before the BCM. However, it is very difficult to diagnose any problem over the internet. I recommend using your warranty and getting it fixed.

Thanks domin8. It is out of warranty 3 yr or 36000 I was able to find some partial wiring schematics and everything that showed that run thru the BCM is what is not working. I could not find a complete list of what the BCM controls. Still looking.

You should be able to find a dealer to help you...those miles are way low. Regardless of the years.

Dealer replaced the BCM and all is well. It is not part of the powertrain warranty.
$303 part.
