2007 Side View Mirror Question

I have a 2007 LTZ. The folding feature on the passenger side quit working. I was thinking about getting a cheaper GM unit that does not have as many options but does fold. Use the parts out of that one to repair my factory one. Just wasn't sure if I could disassemble enough to get to the parts (like the gears/actuator pictured elsewhere on the site). Once you take the mirror off, you can reinstall the same one correct?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Mine just stopped working now to and need to take apart and replace.

Mine quit working too. I just found the same one on ebay and replaced it. You can transfer the plastic cap to match your color.
