just bought a 2007 Tahoe with the Bose radio but has an alpine Ina-900 Davd/navigation double din radio. With the bose radio system it sounded pretty good. Tonight I put in my JL 10w3 and JL 250/1 mono block amp and it balanced the sound out perfect. With it turned up loud it hits good and shakes the mirrors and the Bose does not seem to distort like my old truck did. Really happy with how it sounds. I'm going to build a new box for it since its in a box that is to small because I had to fit it in my pickup. I kind of want to get a second sub since I have the room for it.

Made my new box today. Going double up the front since the sub is heavy. Here's how it's looking so far image.jpeg

This is for behind your 3rd row?

It would fit there, but I have the 3rd row folded up and I'll probably be taking it out and putting them in the basement. No kids and no need for it 90% of the time.

My old truck I was referring to was my 02 2500 extended cab. Along with the same sub and and amp It had the basic 6 speaker radio, I had replaced the 2 front door speakers with some 39$ kickers. do you have static with just the radio or with CDs or your phone plugged in to

Oh okay.. I have static on just my door speakers on any source cd,phone or usb.. I installed 4 6x9s that are running to a amp they have no static on them. U can even hear the static when the radio is on volume zero. No engine whine just static. And if I turn the radio off and turn my blinker on or put it in reverse the static comes through the door speakers. It's weird.

It's probably picking up feedback or something. Is it a factory amp or aftermarket? Factory radio? So your 6x9 that are powered by the amp are not the door speakers making noise?

I have a aftermarket radio all the door speakers are wired up to back of the radio .( I had to buy that $100 retaining kit for nose and onstarr). The 6x9s are wired completely different to a amp in the rear of the Tahoe those are good no static on them .. just the door speakers. I've check the grounds they all seem good.. I was thinking it was the bose amp. But I'm unsure of how to cut the power to it

How did you get a signal for the sub amp? Did you use a line out converter or something different? I like the factory h/u but i'm wanting to add a sub to the rear...
