Feel free to smack me around if there is another thread about this somewhere. I tried searching and couldn't find anything.

Dealer wants $130 for fob, then $55 to program.
Then $30 to cut and program a key.

How can I avoid paying the dealer $200+ for a 2nd Set of keys?

I saw eBay has the set for less than $50 with "free programming". Has anyone tried that?

The Key is easy if you have a set already. Order the key off EBay ($10 tops), got to lock smith and have them cut it ($3),

1. Get in your truck, close door, use your original key to turn the truck on and then off. Put your new key in the ignition and turn the truck on. Then your key is programed to the truck in less than a minute.

I did the key fob as well, it was pretty easy (going off memory)

Insert key into ignition and turn it to the on position. Do no start.

2. Press the Information button until Relearn Remote Key is displayed.

3. Press the set/reset button (will have checkmark on button) until Remote Key Learning Active is displayed.

4. Press and hold the Lock and Unlock button until vehicle chimes twice this signals successful programming. Repeat step 4 for any additional new and existing remotes so they will all work on this vehicle.

5. Turn key to the off position which will exit programming mode.

Stealerships are a bunch of crooks! I got both off Ebay and they work great, good luck!

Avoid dealerships for parts, extremely over priced and their installation/labor fees of ridiculous. Get it online

Awesome, thanks for the info guys! I have done this type of stuff on older ones and was hoping these were the same way.
