Anyone know how to test the Body Control Module? And or test the door lock actuators?

Just bought the Tahoe this weekend and all four door locks are not working. You can hear and see the actuators wanting to work but not enough to make them move. (Wiggle a little when trying to lock or unlock)

The rear hatch will lock and unlock with the switch on the door and only lock with the fob. Fob will not unlock rear hatch.

Called dealer and they say that there is not any common part that goes wrong with this issue.

Thanks for any help.

Your actuators are shot. VERY common issue. Hope it's under warranty, because they are $$$$

Your dealer is lying to you ... as ScSS said this is probably the most common issue with these trucks.

GM parts only brother. How many miles are on your ride? This is a VERY common problem with our vehicles. If you are close to being out of warranty, might be worth a trip to the dealer and see if they'll work with you to get it fixed.

There is another thread somewhere where if you send your actuators to them, they'll disassemble them and replace the motor inside the actuator and send them back. This might be an option for you, just do a few doors at a time.

One of the reasons I've been thinking about buying one before mine expires in December. Already had to replace two of them.

I've already looked into that one. Good price over the internet, less than half what the local stealership is asking
