Sup fellas/gals,

Im having trouble figuring out the issues that’s going on with my 08 LTZ hoe. I searched all over this forum and couldn’t find my answers. I recently got a “Service 4wd” message; none of the lights on the Transfer Case Selector ever illuminates (no matter what position the key is in). I later went to Orielly to see if any codes existed and was told “communications has been lost”.

I changed the transfer case switches, no bueno...
checked all grounds, all seemed well. inspected the actuator and wires, no signs of damage.

I then decided to change the Transfer Case Control Module (Dorman 599-192) and BOOOMM... more BS, however the lights on the switch did come on...briefly. now my backup camera doesnt work and I have a “Service Suspension” message.

I’ll greatly appreciate any suggestion you may have. Thanks

Not sure what O'Reilly's scanner is capable of but I doubt it has the abilities to access any of the modules on your Tahoe. It will "i assume" only access the main computer.
I would either take it to the dealership and let them scan it or to a shop that has a high end scanner. I wouldn't keep throwing parts at it hoping something fix's it. I myself had to suck it up and shell out about $1500 for a scanner that is bidirectional and can access all the modules newer vehicles have. I doubt you want to buy your own but take it somewhere and see what's up.
Good luck and please let us know what they come up with.
