2009 Tahoe: AC inconsistance Fan between driver/pass

So my AC in my 2009 Tahoe, blows plenty cold, but not always on the driver side, but always on the Pass. side.
I can temporary fix it by cranking the driver/pass temps is opposite directions several times, then everything goes back to normal.....Until I stop the truck, then it goes back to warm on driver, cool on pass.

Its kinda like a baffle or gate isn't working right, but outside that I really have no idea what to fix or how to change it on a more permanent basis.

Any ideas? Or has this been a long-standing issue?

My friends vehicle did this....bought one of those A/C kit things, with the gauge at Walmart for $35 and connected it. He was low on refrigerant and this fixed his issue. Did the same thing yours does....warm on drivers side, cold on passenger. The gauge will show you if you are low. Good luck

It can be one of 2 things. Low ac charge As described. You can get recharge kits from anywhere that sells car parts, or you can have blend door actuator problem.

Ah..interesting...that actually sounds more likely the issue I'm seeing...as when I cycle the controls I get it to work and blow cold no problem, but it doesn't default to that position....so I did some interwebbing on Blend Door Actuators and found this little segment about 'recalbrating' the hvac...so I'm going to try that before I buy anything 1st..thanks for the intel

of course will do! Curious did you have Actuator issues previously too?

btw- love the SS style you got going with cruiser black on black summer and winter!
My 09 is also black on black too summer/winter (just no where near as nice or modded)...I black powder coated some oem 20" and 17" just for that effect (in 09 couldn't find black).
What drop kit do you have on it 2/3 or 2/4?

Thankyou. It's a 2/3 spindle drop. I havnt had that problem. I had a constant clicking noise like a pc or laptop hard drive booting up that ending up being a blend door problem

update: (note: I haven't recharged my AC, as its seems cold enough, but the blend door seemed off- which made driver side blow hot and pass side blow cold- until I cycled driver/pass temps- then it would equalize until the next time I turned of the motor and the issue would recycle itself)

Popped the fuse box and found 4 Hvac fuses....so did a bit more research (cause I didn't know which of those 4 fuse would do the trick)...but again found mostly models/years prior to 2007 regarding the hcav ecas fuse recalibrate.

But final found a thread talking about a 2007 with same issue, in this one they talked about fuse 38 (EAP)...so I cycled the fuse and following the restart/recalibrate process....so far it worked, got cold air out of both sides.....fingers crossed it was this simple, but time will tell.
