that's a clean looking truck and as soon as you have to drop the oil pan for gaskets and stuff that 2wd will be priceless haha.

island hopper, huh I was hopping it was the av geek inland hopper route down in Micronesia. oh well haha. that's still on my bucket list to to.

The L9H in the 2009 Denali does indeed have VVT unless someone removed it.

I was lead to believe the VVT and cylinder deactivation / AFM were both introduced in 2010.

Did all 2009 GM 6.2l engines have VVT or was that specific to GMC (& I assume Cadillac)?

That's for the 5.3L.

The L92, L9H, and L94 (all 2007+ 6.2L truck motors) had VVT from the factory.

GM only skipped the AFM / cylinder deactivation on the L92 & L9H or the 07-09 6.2L.

All the other motors got it in our 1500 / 1/2T trucks.
