Truck wouldn't start over the weekend. Was saying some kind of security message. basically had power to everything but nothing would happen at all when I turned the key. I had to disconnect negative battery cable for a little while and the truck started up fine, But now is displaying service traction control and service stabilitrak.. Drove a couple hundred miles and no check engine light but the other service lights stayed on the whole time.

getting a bad feeling something with the computer is messed up. any thought??

Yes, many times you might have an issue and the CEL won't come on, but if you plug in a OBDII scanner you will get your error codes. I would take it to a mechanic and have them out it on their machine to try to pinpoint the issue. It's sounds like it has something to do with your V4 mode and cylinder deactivation.

wondering if this could be all caused by a grounding issue/problem?
