Live in Florida. Currently has 210 degree thermostat. Would like to change to 192 degree.
Would it effect economy. Averages 15mpg 21 on the road.

Why would it affect economy?

I think factory stock was like 190F.

The stock thermostat starts opening at 187 and is fully open at around 195. Our temperature gauge on the dash was intentionally made to not move a whole lot unless something was wrong. The thinking goes, if it were more precise, soccer moms would be flooding the service departments thinking something was wrong when everything was quite alright.

Anyhow, I've wanted to do the same thing since it was what I've always done but finding one of good quality has been the issue for me. I'm pretty sure that the Lingenfelter 174 (L310155307) is the same as the Moto-Rad 523-190 and plan to do it myself when the weather cools and we flush the cooling system.

You get 21 on the highway at 70 or so? Mine has never been anywhere close to that, lucky you! LOL

What part of the Sunshine State do you call home? Port Saint Lucie here.
