2010 Tahoe 4x4 - suspension and lev

Thanks in advance for any advice. This forum seems to have a lot of good people who contribute their time to help out the masses.

I have a 2010 Tahoe LT 4x4. I hated the profile of the stock tires when I got the truck so I put on 285 70 17 Terra Grapplers. The tires fit fine with everything stock and I never really had any issues. I wanted to level it, but I thought I would wait until I got new tires. Well, I just got new tires, the same size in the BFG KO2's and it has been night and day in terms of the quality of the ride. I actually get scared when I see a pothole now. Also, the angle seems even more drastic so I am definitely going to add a leveling kit of some sort. I am looking for recommendations in regards to replacing the shocks (they were getting real soft anyway) and adding a level / lift kit. I don't want anything drastic, just an inch or two more clearance. They don't' rub it is a tight fit. Also, I am going to have it all installed. If you have any ballpark thoughts on what the install labor costs would be for the shocks and leveling kit, I would greatly appreciate it.

Currently looking at the CMM 2.5 / 1 kit and billstein 5100 shocks. Am I on the right track? I am curious to get your thoughts and opinions on the best option to the improve the look and the ride.

Buy the Bilsteins, set the front to full height, get the Daystar 3/4" spacer for the rear. If you have nivomat rear shocks get a set of factory Moog springs too.

That shouldn't run you more than $400 to buy and another $300 for install/alignment

Will the springs add additional height as well? I know that may be a question that is relative the condition of my current springs. But if all things are equal, will those springs add an inch or more?

I'm looking at doing this same set up. Do the 275/70/18's rub without the level kit? Can you add a picture? I'm adding CCM 2.5/1 and can't decide if I should go 275/70/18 or 285/65/18

Some say it hurts the ride set at max and some don't. Would have to see the length of the rod if its maxed out at bottom position. If not then it can be set at any position so the spring is compressed anymore when set at each position. Probably best way to know is during install to determine how compressed you need the spring to mount it on the strut in each position.
