2010 Tahoe front console lid removal

Can someone explain to me how to get this thing off? I can't figure out how to remove the lid. I am mainly trying to get to the black inset that is in the middle of the lid. Thanks

Open the center console. On the inside of the console lid, remove all of the screws around the perimeter. Now the outside (padded part) of the console will detach. More screws to remove the black insert and latch assembly from the padded armrest
