Intermittent problem where no air comes out of any vents. Blower is running but sounds as if blowing against a closed damper. No debris in blower or lines.

Prob the blend door stuck, if you have auto climate control, you should have 3 blend doors, one for mode, one for temp, and one for recirc. Sounds like your mode blend door is stuck and the actuator is bad. They are replaceable, you just need to get to it. The mode door should be behind center of dash, behind climate control module.

I had the same issue when I swapped out the HVAC control unit for a newer one (old buttons were worn out). The newer one was slightly different as it displayed the ext temp. whereas the old one did not. It seemed that it would happen after about 45-60mins of driving it would get stuck. I would adjust the fan speed and direction of airflow to both extremes with no change in the air flow. I just swapped back to the old unit to see if this corrected my problem and will find out the next long drive I take.
