2012 Yukon XL SLT1500 with about 138K miles. So, I got a P0521 code and according to the scanner and app it’s the Oil Pressure Sending Unit. Well, I replaced the switch/sensor last week and I’m still getting the code. The oil pressure gauge on my dash generally is at 40psi and fluctuates to 20psi while driving. The freeze frame data indicates that the oil pressure is 44psi. I see there are many TSB’s associated with this code. Any suggestions?

First off, did you clear the trouble code after replacing the part?

Also, did you clean or replace the screen under the sending unit?

Yes, I clear the code every time it comes up. What is interesting is that I didn’t see a filter when I removed the old sensor. I even removed the new one once because after reading some posts as read about the filter and realized I may have forgotten it. I even tried with a pick to reach in the hole. See if so can feel a filter. No filter to be found.
