Ever since I got my truck 2 months ago, anyone I talk with on the phone complains how they cannot hear me clearly. They say I sound garbled or like I'm underwater which forces me to talk directly on my handset which kinda defeats the purpose. I've used other GM factory bluetooth equipped vehicles in the past and the only time I'd get a complaint would be if I had the sunroof and/or windows open. I spoke to the dealer already a couple times but they weren't any help. This is frustrating as well as counterproductive to one of the reasons why I upgraded to such a vehicle. I had a 2005 Yukon XL with an aftermarket system, those you can't expect as much from, but with this, my last experiences set my expectations quite a bit higher.

Has anyone else experienced this issue and if yes, what did you do to solve it. I'm using an iPhone 5 with all the latest updates.

Thank you in advance.

morriskb,

Hello! I understand that you are experiencing an issue where receivers of your phone calls that are made in you vehicle cannot hear what you are saying. Have you reached out to Infotainment General Support? If not, they can be reached by 855-478-7767 for all concerns you have about the technology in your vehicle. Please private message me if I can be of any assistance.

Thanks for your response. I'm unable to PM you yet so I'll just voice my concerns below.

Before I start a game of phone, I need to know what calling them may accomplish for me. I really need this issue resolved and if they'll tell me to go to a dealer, then I'm not interested in wasting my time. From prior experience with a buddy of mines car (non-gm), they needed to replace all the components related to the bluetooth. I'm too busy to keep running back and forth in order to solve an annoying little ******.

Please advise. Thanks

morriskb,

The Infotainment Team may be able to do some trouble shooting tests with you over the phone. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that they'll be able to fix the issue with your Bluetooth, as there is always a chance that you may need a technician to check your vehicle. If you decide o call Infotainment General Support and they are able to help with this matter, please let us know.

I spoke with them yesterday and it turns out that I had already done the steps they recommended for troubleshooting. I brought my vehicle in for service and explained it again. I'm confident it's the microphone but we'll see what they say when I go to pick it up later.

Thanks

I've been having the same issue for the last couple of weeks but haven't had time to deal with it. Curious to see your outcome on this. Mine will be going in to the dealer sometime in the next couple of weeks.

I picked up my truck yesterday after they officially replaced the MIC. It's no better than before. The silly Chevy Sonic loaner they gave me had better quality than my truck that cost 3x the price. I'm going to try another dealer

I talked with the people on the phone and they had me jump through their troubleshooting hoops, about 25 minutes. After all that they told me to go to the dealer. Mine's going in on the 12th.

Good luck. I hope you have better luck. My guess is that's its a deeper issue than just a microphone, such as noise canceling software or maybe the need for a general software overhaul. I'm hoping they somehow make the newer MyLink software available for the harddrive based navi for the 2012+ models
