GM dealers were all told (lied to, I say) that the 2013 MY would be the last of the 2007+ body style. I had heard that dealers were even forced to stop ordering for lot inventory earlier than expected. Then GM went to extreme lengths to keep the new styling secret, with great success I might add. Turned out this was all a ruse and a canard, as we all now know there will be a limited production run of a 2014 MY with the same old design! Didn't anyone living/working in or around Arlington notice that NO re-tooling was actually taking place after the final 2013 vehicle rolled-off? Wouldn't that have been a BIG tip-off that something was awry and GM execs were up to something? Would have been nice if someone in Arlington thought to post their suspicions here! I rushed out to borrow $60k for what I thought was the last of a classic, and had I known, I would have waited for a 2014. This is not right. GM just should have come clean and told dealers about their change in plans the instant they decided no change for 2014. Also, looks like LS will get as std equipment some items formerly reserved for LT and LTZ. What is GM trying to do, get rid of excess doodads already in inventory? Jeesh. I paid good money for that fancy stuff and now they are going to give it away? What kind of company is this?

This is nothing new and has been discussed before. They took extra time with the Sierra Silverado and that pushed back the SUV platforms a year...

Most companys do this , its nothing new , the last year they offer a product before a upgrade or revamp they will sell the "up class" items for what consumers believe to be a steal on the market . its to generate new funds for the new product , both sony , microsoft , Apple , Ford, Pontiac (when they were in business ) and a few others did this

You bought this as a collector edition or something?

Because even if there was a actual collection edition........ which there is not....... there are millions of these things out there.......

LOL at the OP... Your 13 will be the same thing as a 14, who cares if you didn't get the last year.

BTW if it makes you feel better, the 2013 2LT Corvettes now come standard with heads up display and navigation, both of which required you in the past to get a 3LT model which was about another $3 of $4k. Plus the Navi was like a $1800 option on top of getting a 3LT. Oh and to top it all off, I got $16k off the sticker on my Vette. Of course they will make more items standard to try and empty out some inventory. I suspect that is the same reason why they were offering EXT painted panels on the Avalanches the past couple of years only in colors that both the Avalanche and Cadillac shared.

Did you not forget that in 06 the offered the 06 and 07 style, yet still sold a hell of a lot of 2006s? It's been said about 10x in this post, this is nothing new for a manufacturer.

We've known for most of the year. The '14 light duty pickups are this year, the HDs and SUVs as 2015s. We can't even order 2014 a sierra denali yet since the 6.2L hasn't been released (probably fall).
