Recently upgraded from a 2000 Yukon XL to a 2013 Yukon XL
My wife was use to the chrome bumpers on the old truck and not too worried about bumping into things.
Over the weekend she pulled a little to far into a pile of snow and ice and cracked the front bumper.
The crack is about 6" long and near the bottom so it is not too noticeable.
Looking to make a temporary repair for now and get it fixed permanently later.
For the short term I was thinking about putting a bracket behind the bumper and using some rivets to hold the crack together. Not thrilled about drilling holes in the bumper but if I do it at the bottom you will not be able to see it.
Instead of using that bracket and rivets is there any type of glue or bonding material that I can apply to the back of the bumper to hold it together.
Also, once the bumper is secured together is there anything that you can use to cosmetically fix the crack. In the old days there was bondo but I am not sure what to use with the new plastic parts.
