We've had our Yukon for a little over 2.5 years now and the other day my wife told me it felt like the A/C wasn't blowing Ice cold like it used to and that the air was cool but "sticky". That day is was around 84F outside and she said even with the fan on HI and the temp on LO it still was sticky, it was blowing cool air, not hot, but was not ice cold like it usually blew.
I decided to take a ride to Autozone to pick up more refrigerant since I thought that might have been the issue. On the way there I did notice that the air was blowing lower than ambient, so the A/C was somewhat working, but it definitely wasn't as cold as it should be.
Another thing I noticed, while driving to Autozone was that the rear A/C I also had set on LO, was blowing ice cold while the front vents were blowing the cool, but sticky air. At some points while driving the front A/C would blow ice cold again which was weird. So I did buy the refrigerant at Autozone, but I haven't used it yet because I'm not sure if its low on freon or not at this point since the rear unit blows ice cold and the front unit goes from blowing sticky cool air to ice cold air off an on.

There is a problem with the condenser units cracking or something on the 15+ vehicles. Im afraid it’s only going to get worse my friend.
We have the extended warranty so I'm not worried, I'll just get it serviced. Do you know if there is a TSB out on it?

Fieldgoal00,

see my thread about getting the condenser fixed. you wont have to call GMC customer service to obtain authorization from GM on out of warranty work since you are covered.
Just make sure you go to GMC and simply tell them, "my A/C not working properly, from what other people are experiencing it might be the condenser"

I learned from dealing with OEM's and dealership with the help of lemon lawyers in the past on other rides, that the more vague the better.
the best advice I was given by one of them is to simply hand off the key, ask for a loaner, and say car is broken, please fix it.

Good Luck, let us know how this turns out!

PS: I wouldn't get this done outside of GM even if an independent repair place tells you they can do it under warranty as the official repair calls for a couple revised parts to solve the issue.
