Hey guys, unfortunately my beautiful 2015 Yukon got "love tapped" by a lady in a '14/15 Acadia not paying attention, with my wife and I sitting still at a red light.

The damage appears to be very minimal, looking like just the receiver cover needs replacing. I do plan on taking it to the dealership to have them look everything over in case there's anything else hidden, but does anyone recommend I request anything be looked at specifically? Could the alignment get thrown out that easily? etc.

You can see the outline of my hitch receiver through the cover (and a days worth of MN salt!)

A truck with 2,000 miles on it sure deserves to be 100% at this point.

Your input is much appreciated!

Ouch!

But since the damage is superficial I'd recommend against taking it to the dealership. They won't tell you anything you don't know and they'll likely note the damage to your VIN, which might come back to bite you when you sell it.

I cringe at these posts. Was driving through SC when these trucks were first hitting the lots and drove past a 'Hoe on the opposite side that front ended another vehicle. Its depressing.

Here's to a quality fix! Sorry it happened.

If a police report was filed the accident is going to hit CarFax either way.

Not necessarily true...i had 4 incidents in the past 2 years that should have been on carfax...everything from a minor car accident to 4k in hail damage...traded my truck in dealer swore it had been painted...nothing on carfax except all the recalls amd oil changes...
