2015 Tahoe 3/5 drop towing with 24” or 26”

It’s about that season where I get my fishing boat back out, as of right now I have 24s but I am selling my black wheels and going with a silver machined wheel. I wanted to go to a 26” with a 295-30-26 but That’s a pretty thin tire and I’m not sure how they would do towing a boat or even for a 2-4 hr trip. The boat is only 21’ and maybe 3000 but never weighed. I don’t want to have to worry about blowouts or damages especially to an expensive wheel like that, other wise I’ll order a 24” again with a 295-35-24. Anyone with experience your info would be appreciated.

on my custom 3-4/5-6 kit you can tow with no poblem. if your driving a lot and towing id just keep stock rims that being said i have a c7 z06 and a chevy ss I tow to the street races. 26" rims 295 30 26 and there are no issues and my escalade is a 3/6 drop

Yea I have your kit, need to instal the helper bags still. What brand of tire are you running?

I have those, you sold me the kit. I was more worried about the low low profile and the load with bumps and stuff, roads around here are horrible

id put the stock 22s or 20s back on if your worried. that will give more support since much bigger sidewalls vs a 30 series
