with the help of some other threads I finally finished my DVD install. Only issue I have is the 2x4s I used to brace, a back corner missed the stud and droops. Any ideas on gettin that up a lil tighter to headliner?

Decided instead of hardwiring, use 3.5mm jack that can be plugged or unplugged to run audio through car system

Nice work...PM sent with questions. Can't you remove the unit and drill new hole/screw in that area of mounting plate to attach corner? I'm assuming you mounted plate to the wood before installing the actual unit to the plate.

I am about to begin a similar project with our yukon.

I ears epoxy on 2x4 to roof off vehicle and mounted plate in outside of headliner... May have to completely remove 2x4 and use a longer one

What flip down is that? Do you have any feed back since the install. I'm thinking of installing two of them in my XL.
