2018 Yukon SideSteps

Hi quick question, my Uncle has a 2018 Yukon with stock sidesteps on it. He wants to be able to add electric sidesteps that will go lower then stock (My aunt has trouble using the stock ones), is it possible to add an aftermarket electric ones without removing the stock? TIA
