Been looking around on the net at car shows and such, and see alot of NNBS chevy trucks w/ 24 x 15 or just some crazy deep dish rims, (i guess its offset?) Well this has caught my attention and is a must have mod for me. lol. Something very different and would look awesome on a black lowered tahoe. Now i cant find any tahoes with the deep dish rim. I did however find a thread i think from 09 from mob and his white yukon said he was getting some, narrow the rear end and something else, but cant find it again for the life of me.

So is this possible, im sure yes, but how and what is involved in doing so? I would love to have this look. Always loved the huge lip rims.

Here is a video i found on youtube, not sure how to embed it, but heres the link.

Thanks, or if you guys have some pics, would LOVE to see them.

Anyone know? Still cant really find anything about how to do it? except trucks saying narrow rear. Or how wide could the rim be w/o major mods? 24 or 22 inch. by ?12

I'd love to see someone do this. Don't think it would look as cool as on a pickup but it would still be sweet. No clue how you would get that to work though.

Yeah not too sure how a suv would look, but if right i think better than a truck.

I have the higher offset NNBS Tahoe wheels and I am very close to touching the inner fender liners now. Im sure there probably isn't much room behind the liners before you hit the frame or the body.

I'm sure it would look sick but it probably wouldn't be easy at all. Plus with a factory 4 link you probably couldnt narrow the axle much without having fab up a new rear link setup. The lower arms ( if I remember correctly) are real close to the backing plates now.

There is a bit more fabrication involved with putting wide ass wheels on these suvs compared to a truck. You'll have to cut the rear floor and build new tubs to fit the wider tires along with narrowing the axle 5"+ and totally redoing the suspension, building crossmembers, control arms, etc.
I think a legit shop would charge $5k-$8k depending on how you want to do everything but it would be dope as **** if you did it correctly. I have dreams of my denali with a steering rack nnbs front suspension swap, narrowed 14bolt rear on coilovers, nasty n/a 454 lsx, body dropped and tucking tire on 15"+ wide wheels. You can do anything with enough money and time

This would be a clean ass mod but like Max said it will take a lot of fabrication work. Which means a lot of $$$$

max nailed it. To get that done you will have a good bit of cash into it. Would look sick though.

thanks for the responses. That pic is what im looking for, except of course suv. I knew it would take alot of work, just not sure of what would have to be done. Sounds almost like bagging it. Chopping up susp., floor, etc. $5 to $8k really dont sound that bad. I dont have it, but doesnt sound as bad as i was thinking and as much as ive seen 24x15 rims going for. The rims are still more. crazy. Im with you max, i would love to have what you say, except procharged, and completely unexpected. That is my goal.

has any one seen this done on a SUV, tahoe/burban, or so..

and trick, is it kind of what you had to have done to tuck your rims?
