hello all been on here awhile just reading and getting information before asking.every vehicle I have is lifted and now that I've bought a 16 yukon xl denali I've seen the off road look is just out of place on these Hearst haha.ive never had a vehicle with low pros but I drive like grandpa and roads are excellent this way.ive seen horror stories with "big rims" saying a rock could take your rim and tire out and I've seen some that say zero issues with 26s and even 28s.lookimg for feedback from people that have had them not just hear say

Honestly I wouldn't run 26s unless you're going to put at least a 35 inch tire on there (that's my current set up). I had 24s with 33 inch Toyo ST3's until last week when I got my Tahoe lifted and while the ride was decent I couldn't imagine going with any less rubber.

When you go with low pro tires you get what you pay for...definitely don't go cheap just to be able to rock some big rims. You'll sacrifice ride quality and sidewall coverage which will play a huge part in preventing bends/cracks in the wheel. At the end of the day as long as you're happy with your ride that's what counts, just remember while it may seem expensive to pony up for quality rims/tires in the beginning it's cheaper than having to pay a second time to replace them down the road!

WE manufactured wheels in the 90's and early 2000's, made many one off wheels, 26", 28" and even truly stupid 30", and then the customers put rubber band on as tires, ride is really poor and the wheels even forged are very heavy in those diameters, needed the biggest aftermarket brakes to now stop the trucks. Same here less sidewall equals rougher ride. if you’re going the route of lots of offset you may find fewer options at 24 and 26.

I havent seen many xl versions with offset to them.they are just such a big vehicle 20s or hell even 22s dont look right unless they have a aggressive stance.but then again I've never had a set of low profile tires so I cant judge on the harsh ride.lowest profile I currently have is 375/45/22 on 22x14.
