I've been trying to search through the forum to find the actual wheels specs others use for 26's but haven't had much luck finding a solid answer. I've got an '07 Tahoe LT 4wd, no Auto-Ride, going down with 2" McGaughy's spindles and Tony's Belltech 3-4 rear kit.

I would have pm'd Iwaslowr (love the way his wheels looked) but I can't since I have created 10 posts yet -

At any rate, I'm looking at some Strasse 26's, some Raceline 26's, and some Modular Society's, but it would be helpful to know exactly what I should order before I drop 6-8k (or more) on wheels - and Iwaslowr's truck (bless it's heart) looked to have the offset I am wanting. I don't mind lightly rolling fender wells in the rear but don't want to narrow the rear or anything crazy - this is my daily driver and the stock 20's go back on every September.

I'd greatly appreciate the info if someone knows. It looks like 26x10 with 30-35mm offset should work for most wheels without rubbing up front or in the rear. And, I know it's different with every wheel, but what's the max distance from mounting surface to fender for front and rear? Anyone know?

I'd like a litttttle more lip in the rear than the front if at all possible.

Thoughts?

The ideal offset for a 26x10 wheel on the NNBS is in between +30 and +35, depending on the tire size (I recommend 295/30/36).
With that offset and width, your backspace will be fine regardless. As for getting more lip in the rear, your only option that would look good without modifications would be getting 26x9 front wheels and 26x10 rears. I personally think you should run the same width/lips the whole way around.

Thanks Modded! That confirms most of what I have found. I love the little bit fatter lip in the rear and will see what I come up with. The 295/30 might be good, especially up front since my 305's I've got now track really bad on concrete highway.

Staggered setup will only look right with different size tires to match the wheel width. Something like 265s in front and 305s in the rear. Keep us posted if you go that route, definitely be interesting.

Your wheel builder would be a good sounding board for what you are trying to accomplish. He should be able to help with all the variables.

Similar to our setup on the suburban. We did 24x9.5 front and 24x10.5 in rear. The rear lips are 4" and fronts are 3". At least I think that's what they are, haven't seen them in a few months.

We did a 285/35/24 in front and 305/35/24 in back. Looked good to me!

They were also 3pc forged wheels.

Yeah, I am pretty torn now. I can get the 26's I want (Strasse Forged) for $100/wheel more than 24's but I'm leaning toward 24's because it would seem the extra sidewall would help the ride tremendously, especially if I am looking at doing a 9.5 up front and a 10 in the rear. I *hate* the tracking and poor handling with the 305/40-22's up front.

But, if I want the lip in the rear and the more narrow wheel up front, I'm going to end up with a taller sidewall in front and that seems to always look funky as hell. Decisions, decisions...

Our tire height is almost identical with our staggered 24s. Maybe 1/8" off if that. Doesn't look funky at all, nowhere near it.

I'd be half tempted to sell them if you want a 3pc staggered 24" setup.

I also have a set of 24" COR 3pc wheels I would sell.

I thought exactly that the first time I read the post... then my brain converted crazy talk to reality for me :) Maybe I could throw a 10 inch lift on and bolt up some Oregon Trail style carriage wheels?
