275/65/18 vs. 285/65/18

Hey everyone, I’ve got a 2015 Z71 Tahoe, currently running entirely stock set up but plan to get a 2” level on the front and new tires. I’ll be keeping my stock rims.

Question is, most people have run 285/65/18s with this set up, but I saw a Burb out the other day that was leveled with 275/65/18s and it looked good. The 275s run about $250 cheaper for the set, which is significant. I have always run 285s on my previous Tahoe’s, but wanted to see if anyone on here has a strong opinion on 275 vs. 285? Will I regret going slightly smaller to save a little money?

Hello I think I can chime in regarding the 275. Not my current setup but previously I ran on my 15 Suburban Z71 midnight edition 18" over Good years A/T 275/65r18 SR/A.
The picture don't do it justice, but there was a great difference look wise and I really appreciated the quality of the ride and same MPG as the stock size Goodyear 265 fuel-max.
Here are some pics.
Keep in mind that these tires are pretty much the most on road looking A/T tires.
Not sure why they even call them A/T, I liked them though, Had a nice Police/livery look to them.

Yep on stock everything.
Actually would love to see the exact setup I had with a mild rear drop.
I say mild because I got some springs from Tony @ NorCal that were nice and level the rear but I didn’t thing that perfectly level at the wheel gap would be too much for the suburban 3 row and cargo. It looked droopy even if the wheel gap were not.
So now I’m back to stock and will install bilstailb5100 and raise them 1.75 in the front. That should leave the rear slightly higher which should work for my suburban
