2nd row 40% seat stuck folded down

Hey everyone, I searched for this question and didn't find anything, but I'm shocked if I'm the only one to experience this problem... Anyway, long story short our 40% 2nd row seat is stuck folded down. I can make the seat tilt up and tilt back down, but it will not unfold so that you can sit in it. Any suggestions? 2013 Yukon. Thanks!

There is a YouTube video that shows how to unfold a third row seat that’s been removed from the truck. I suspect the mechanism is the same or similar on the 2nd row. The video should shine a light on the part of the mech that needs to be triggered to release it.

This happened to me once too. I had to jiggle it hard, then it started working.
