I have a 2001 Suburban. The middle seat in the second row only has a lap belt and no headrest. What year did the second row middle seat change to a shoulder belt and headrest? I got my third kid on the way and it would nice to be able to sit another kid in that row. Thanks for the help.

i don't believe the 2nd row came with it's own seat-belts till 2007 model. The seat-belts are in the pillars on all 2000-2006 models. Headrest, I'm not so sure.

Got an 03 with a 2nd row bench. It has the upper shoulder belt built into the 60 side of the 60/40 split seat while the left and right nut seats have them pillar mounted. And I wouldn't call the center seat's headrest, more like a cushion for no one taller than 5'2".
