anyone know if 2wd drive obs (94 up) tahoe shocks bolt up on a 4wd obs? im figuring that since they are generally lower stock height then stock length 2wd shocks would work fine on a lowered 4wd....dont know anyone with a 2wd for me to go under and look for myself...any input would be helpful...thanx

I think the rears would be fine. However, the fronts might mount differently (eye-bolt vs spindle) since the 2wds have stamped A-arms vs the 4wd's forged arms. I know the ball joints are different between the two drive types - dunno for sure if that difference translates to the shocks or not. As far as shock length, you're probably fine - most manufacturers suggest the same shock for a 0-2" change in suspension height.

thanx...my truck is about 3 inch lowered in the rear and was wondering if i use a stock shock for a 2wd if it would work....since i dont think i can tow with drop shocks...i figured a stock 2wd shock would be better...thanx again

been eyeing the edelbrock shocks but they only make dropped shocks for the front so i gotta measure the rear to find a shock close in range to what i need...

Assuming you're talking about the Edelbrock AIS Performer shock, I've had them for several years now and have been very happy with their performance.

Ummm, Shocks won't lower your ride.

Need a shackle and/or remove your helper leaf. But if you tow and/or put alot of shit in the trunk, don't remove your helper leaf b/c then it weakens your suspension.
