I have a 1997 Yukon GT. It has 16X10 steel rims with 33 tires. She came with 3.42 diff ratio with Trac-Loc in rear. I can buy a set of 4 door 1998 Yukon 3.73 ratio diff for a cheap. If I swap those 3.42 for the 3.73 ratio, do I notice a difference? :hmmm2:

Depends on application with 33s and 3.73 would be as if your tires were stock sized, get better mpg too. If your towing or wanting more low end grunt go 4.10

Thanks rayninglead for your reply. That's exactly my doubt. I want to gain some power with the swap. So, 4.10 (aftermarket) is the way to go.

Do you know any specific model who got the 4.11 (stock) from factory in 8.25 IFS and 8.5 rear?

I'm not sure about models do some research but if you're capable of changing them go to yukongear.com they have gears pretty reasonable and good quality. That's what I'm doing running 33s with I don't even know what gears, I'm going to a 4.56 only because I'm going to a 35!
