I just drove home in my new-to-me '05 Tahoe. I finally got my wifes '05 Pacifica paid off and needed a truck. It has 59k, spent it's first year as a demo for the GM at the local dealership, he sold it to his in-laws, they traded it in and now it's mine. Babied since day one and perfect service records, it looks new inside and out.
I've been driving a Saturn for the last year and a half, I deserve this. Still got the Saturn, it sips gas and is a good run-about for the wife and me.
I am a tinkerer and mechanic at heart and can't wait to start the upgrades. I'm thinking a couple power/performance mods, de-badging(sp) and maybe get the front up level with the rear or the rear down with the front. Toying with the idea of some summer wheels and tires next year, the factory wheels have brand-spanking-new Toyo AT's.
Can't drop any major coin for a while, at least until I get back to work. I am a production line worker at the GMC/Chevy truck assembly plant here in Fort Wayne. We got the summer off, can't beat that with a bat.
