I just bought a 2007 silverado, So I want to put 30 inch rims on my 2002 Tahoe just for looks (I Know) and make it a weekend ride. I bought the rims today, and i'm seeing if anyone know how to fit them with no rubbing and the most turning radius. I'm being told I only need to raise the front 2 inches with a leveling kit and some minor trimming. Anyone with some knowledge and suggestions? I don't want a crazy lift I just want the rims to fit "perfect". And do you think I could do this myself, I have no experience but the shops want to charge 1000-1400, when I see leveling kits from 250-400$ somethings not right. The tires are 255/30R/30 by the way. I was told something about raising the front torsions or something idk help! Thanks in advance

They have torsen keys that will raise the front some. Although you don't like the shops price it seems you don't know a ton about suspensions so maybe its better to just let the shop take care of it and then you don't have to worry.

You can crank the t-bars, but that thing will not handle worth crap with those wheels on it. Either pay the shop or buy the leveling kit and start learning now.
